OUR STORY

The original Sahm's sign

Ed Sahm, founder and CEO of Sahm’s Hospitality Group, has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for great food. His first job was at Knobby’s at Keystone and 53rd Streets. After attending Purdue and graduating with a degree in hospitality, Ed managed several local restaurants. When an opportunity to purchase a run-down dive bar presented itself, he knew he had found the perfect location for his first restaurant.

What started as just one restaurant at 116th and Allisonville Road has grown into a network of small businesses – in addition to restaurants located throughout central Indiana, Sahm’s also operates a bakery that produces fresh and local coffee cakes and buns, a top-of-the-line brewery that creates fun beers via Big Lug Brewing Co., and a catering business that provides customers with the exceptional culinary experience at their own special event. Whether you are dining at the original Sahm’s Restaurant in Fishers, picking from a coffee cake at a local farmers market, or drinking beer in the Half Liter beer garden, you can expect the same delicious food at a great value with the friendly service that Sahm’s is known for.

Since 1986, Sahm’s has been feeding the community and giving back to local non-profits, school sports teams, and other charities. Each year, Sahm’s Hospitality Group donates thousands of dollars back to the central Indiana community through Sahm’s Supports events, in-kind donations of brewery products and food, and donations for silent auctions at events. “It’s not to be recognized,” Ed says, “it’s to make an impact.”

“While everyone in our community might not eat our food, we still want to impact the people who live around us in a positive way through our daily actions” -Eddie Sahm
